- Origin
- Introduced to Japan in 1958 directly from Hongkong, and after 1970 from Australia.
- Distribution:Hongkong,Kwangtung,Kwangsi.
- Characteristics
- Flowers:White with soft-pink shading,6-7 petals,2-3cm in diameter,hairy on both styles and filaments.Flowering in January to March.
- Leaves:Broad-lanceolate,5-8cm long and 1.5-2.5cm wide,red-brown at leafing time then deep-green,less shiny,hairy on lower surface.
- 2n=30.
- Uses
- If trees are explored strong sun-light during hot summer sesson,leavestend to be damaged.
