Explanations
- Origin
- Introduced to Japan from Yunnan province in 1980.
- Dstribution:Yunnan,Vietnam.
- Characteristics
- Flowers:White,5-6 petals,very small,1-2cm in diameter,fragrant but not as same as C.lutchuensis.Flowering in January to March.
- Leaves: Narrow-ovate to ovate,small,3-5cm long and 1-2.5cm wide,shining,bright green. Venation is obscure.
- 2n=30.
- Uses
- Although not as much as C.lutchuensis,it has distinct fragrance and is promising as breeding materials for fragrant camellia.Flowers are small but bloom especially well and branching tendency is strong.
- Therefore canbe used for pot plants.
