Origin
Introduced to Japan in 1967 by Hagiya and Ishizawa from Formosa,where it grows at highlands of more than 2000m above sea level.It is also saidto be distributed in south-east China.
Distribution:Formosa,Anhwei,Kiangsi,Fukien,Kwangtung,Kwangsi.
Characteristics
Flowers:White,5-6 petals,very small,2-3cm in diameter.Flowering in January to March.
Leaves:Oblong-elliptic,4-5cm long and 2-2.5cm wide,dark-green,less shiny. Venation is obscure.
Uses
Branches are slender,branching is well,but weep. Not much flowering.
