Explanations
- Origin
- Distribution:Japan(Kyushu,Shikoku,Yamaguchi prefecture).
- Characteristics
- Flowers:Flower color of native plants is white,and sometimes with pink edge,5-7 petals,6-8cm in diameter,fragrant.Flowering in October to December.
- Leaves:Elliptic to oblong-elliptic,4-6cm long and 1.5-2.5cm wide, shining,deep-green.Venation is somewhat obscure.
- 2n=90.
- Uses
- Indigenous species of Japan,and there are a large number of cultivars. It seem to cross with other species relatively easily,and three are many interspecific hybrids.
