- アジアからニューギニア。オーストラリアで報告されているが、非常にまれ。
- 主な形態的特徴
- 円錐花序の最下位の節はほとんどの場合、輪生の分枝である。ふつう、根茎をもつ。
- 生育地
- とても多様である。多くは開けた草地や林縁にはえる。インドネシア（スマトラ島）、パプアニューギニアの海岸近くでふつうにみられる。イラワジ川のデルタ地帯でもみられる。
