"Kuniichi" was named in around the 30th year of Meiji(1897). Kuniichi was anexcellent race, and was widely used until the middle year of Taisho era(Taisho:1912-1926). In particular, Kuniichi of the strain reared by Sato Rinnosuke of Fukushima Prefecure was excellent.
Production of Kuniichi in Japan(in the 1st year of Taisho(1912)) 14,000 moths.
(It is presumed that one moth will hatch 400 eggs.)
