- Origin
- Introduced to Japan after 1979 in the form of seeds and scions for grafting,but blooming has not been reported.
- Distribution:Yunnan,Szechuan.
- Characteristics
- Flowers:White,10-12 petals,6-7cm in diameter,fragrant.Styles 4 or 5, free to the base.Flowering in December to March in native habitat.
- Leaves:Elliptic to broad lanceolate,small,4-6cm long and 2-3cm wide, deep-green.
- 2n=30.
- Uses
- Good tree shape because of good branching.In China,it is interested as a breeding material to make fragrant cultivars.
