Explanations

Origin
Introduced to Japan in 1967 by Hagiya and Ishizawa from native habitatof Formosa.Its name had not been identified for long,but now recognized as this species.
Distribution:Chekiang,Fukien,Formosa.
Characteristics
Flowers:White,with outer petal edges only slightly colored soft-pink,5petals,very small,1.5-2cm in diameter,cup shape first then flat. Flowering in March to April.
Leaves:Oblong-ovate to ovate,rather round and very small,2-3.5cm long and 1-2cm wide,green,less shiny.Venation is obscure.
Uses
Tree tend to spread,and branch well. It is characteristics leave and shoot have long and dense hairs.
