Origin
Introduced to Japan in 1958 directly from Hongkong, and after 1970 from Australia.
Distribution:Hongkong,Kwangtung,Kwangsi.
Characteristics
Flowers:White with soft-pink shading,6-7 petals,2-3cm in diameter,hairy on both styles and filaments.Flowering in January to March.
Leaves:Broad-lanceolate,5-8cm long and 1.5-2.5cm wide,red-brown at leafing time then deep-green,less shiny,hairy on lower surface.
2n=30.
Uses
If trees are explored strong sun-light during hot summer sesson,leavestend to be damaged.
