Explanations

Origin
There are two clones cultivated in Japan under this name. One was collected from Formosa in 1967 by Hagiya and Ishizawa,the other clone was introduced in 1980 from Kwangsi in China.
The latter has not yet bloomed in Japan.
Distribution:Kiangsi,Hunan,Kwangtung,Kwangsi,Formosa,Hainan,Vietnam,Laos.
Characteristics
Flowers: White,6-8 petals,small,3-4cm in diameter,slightly fragrant. Flowering in November to December.
Leaves: Elliptic to oblong-elliptic,large,10-15cm long and 4-6cm wide, deep-green, slightly thin,impressed along the veins.
2n=30.
Uses
This species has comparatively large leaves and small flowers,thereforeit may be less valuable as an ornamental plant.
