Explanations

Origin
Introduced to Japan from Yunnan province in 1980.
Dstribution:Yunnan,Vietnam.
Characteristics
Flowers:White,5-6 petals,very small,1-2cm in diameter,fragrant but not as same as C.lutchuensis.Flowering in January to March.
Leaves: Narrow-ovate to ovate,small,3-5cm long and 1-2.5cm wide,shining,bright green. Venation is obscure.
2n=30.
Uses
Although not as much as C.lutchuensis,it has distinct fragrance and is promising as breeding materials for fragrant camellia.Flowers are small but bloom especially well and branching tendency is strong.
Therefore canbe used for pot plants.
