- Origin
- Now,two types of clone are cultivated in Japan, one of them was introduced around 1970 via the United States,another one was collected in the native habitat in Assam in India.
- Distribution :Kwangtung,Kwangsi,Hainan,Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia,Burma,Bhutan,Sikkim,Assam,Nepal.
- Characteristics
- Flowers:White,5-6 petals,very small,about 3cm in diameter,flat,slightlyfragrant.Flowering in December to February.
- Leaves:Oblong-elliptic,6-7cm long and 3-4cm wide,deep-green,less shiny.
- 2n=30.
- Uses
- Flowers are small,therefore it may not so important for ornamental. However,flowers have slight fragrance and bloom in winter, they are sometimes used for breeding.
