Explanations

Origin
Now,two types of clone are cultivated in Japan, one of them was introduced around 1970 via the United States,another one was collected in the native habitat in Assam in India.
Distribution :Kwangtung,Kwangsi,Hainan,Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia,Burma,Bhutan,Sikkim,Assam,Nepal.
Characteristics
Flowers:White,5-6 petals,very small,about 3cm in diameter,flat,slightlyfragrant.Flowering in December to February.
Leaves:Oblong-elliptic,6-7cm long and 3-4cm wide,deep-green,less shiny.
2n=30.
Uses
Flowers are small,therefore it may not so important for ornamental. However,flowers have slight fragrance and bloom in winter, they are sometimes used for breeding.
